Simple Seven includes some basic SevenTalk commands. These are keyboard shortcuts for basic commands and functions, entered using the Message box. There are only a few of these, since the main purpose of this version is to do away with extras such as this. Feel free to modify them or to create your own.
ΓÇó Other commands may be active if other versions of Seven are in use, or may have been added to this particular stack.
co - ColorMe. Redraws the color.
cv - Current view. Redraws the current view to fit window.
rv - Redraws the current view.
t theField - Toggles visibility of that field. Accepts field name or number.
lt - Locks or unlocks all fields.
l theField - Locks that field. Accepts name or number.
u theField - Unlocks that field.
us - User settings. Change text settings for all fields.
usa - Modify user text settings.
cw - Centers the window on the screen.
bm - Bookmark. Offers choice of going to the current mark, or setting it.
sbm - Sets the bookmark to current card.
gbm - Goes to bookmark.
f thePhrase,theField - A basic find command. Puts theWord into the global thePhrase. The field reference, theField, is three words: bg|cd fld theNameOrNumber.
h thePhrase - Hypers thePhrase, checking to see if there is any hypertext attached to it. If used with * or ΓÇó must be within quotes, as for any phrase of more than one word. Simple Seven 2.1 only includes basic hypertext features, primarily footnotes, but it may be customized in any field, card, background or stack.
mt - Shows the Minitools palette.
nav - Shows or hides the Navigator palette.
spk theContainer - Speaks whatever is in the container (a field, a variable or whatever) in the currently set Speech Manager voice.
dp thePict. Display picture. Displays the PICT file indicated.
ΓÇó Note that while regular versions of the HyperCard Player do NOT allow you to type messages into the Message box, this is possible using GalileoΓäó, our own Player. Just type Command/M, same as in the regular HyperCard. This works for for handler names, HyperTalk expressions and most standard commands. Anything which does not have a custom global variable in it.
